Wizard of Oz :: Your Character

wizardofoz

With the new movie, Oz the Great and Powerful, hitting theaters this past weekend, I thought it would be interesting and fun to look at the characters from the original Wizard of Oz movie and see who I identify with best. Unfortunately, the original characters are not in the new movie as it is a prequel to the original.

Here are the characters in the original Wizard of Oz movie and their character traits. Which one do you identify with best?

DorothyGenerally lost and seeking
ScarecrowLacking in wisdom and knowledge
Tin ManLacking a heart; compassion and love
Cowardly LionLacking courage; fearful
Toto In need of a muzzle

Crazy enough, I think that I identify most with Toto. There is a reason we have two ears and only one mouth. We are meant to listen twice as much as we speak. I find this to be a difficult area for me to manage. It seems that I’m always looking back and regretting something I’ve said. I’ve been working hard, along with God’s help, in this area of my life. “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.” (Proverbs 18:21 MSG)

I’m curious, which character do you identify with most?
