2012 was a year of changes and trials. As difficult as that can be, it also paves the way for learning, growing and receiving blessings. I am thankful for the good but I’m also thankful for the struggles. These are the times that make us and shape us into better people today than we were yesterday.
I am not one for New Years resolutions as I tend to not keep them or overextend them; i.e. the year I made the resolution to not exercise as much, I ended up training for and running my first full marathon. 2012 was one of those years where I tried to back off from so much exercise. I learned that all this did was make me miserable. So, in 2013 I plan to do something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time – CrossFit. I also have a couple of mud runs scheduled and I may sign up for a half marathon. I also made an appointment for my next tattoo. The point is that I’m going to do what I love and what makes my heart happy. Ultimately, I want to simply live for today and live life to the fullest. After all, we are only guaranteed today.
